Friends

Amanda D.
Amanda was my first friend ever. I met her when I was about a year old. We grew up two houses away from each other. Our childhood was strange. We hung around with a girl named Emily. Emily was cruel and heartless and Amanda and I took a lot of crap from her. Eventually Emily moved and Amanda and I became closer. She recently moved back home after being away at a school 300 miles from here. We had a hard time keeping in contact with each other while she was gone, but I hope we can get our friendship back on track now that we're living near each other again.

Elaine
I met Elaine in kindergarten. I don't remember how we met or how we became friends... We walked home the same way so that probably had something to do with it. We missed recess nearly everyday during the winter because by the time we got our snow suits on, recess was over. We had a crush on the same boy in kindergarten and we fought constantly over him (she sat next to him when we graduated high school. :Þ ) We lost touch with each other a lot throughout elementary school and junior high, but we became best friends again in 9th and 10th grade. I don't see her much anymore, but when I do, I love hanging out with her!

Megan
I met Megan in first grade. We became best friends almost instantly. It was always her, me, and a girl named Rachael hanging out together at recess. Rachael was as goth as a 1st grader could be and she scared the hell out of most of the kids in our grade. I guess it made me and Megan feel tough because we weren't afraid of her. We grew apart in 2nd and 3rd grade but we became best friends again in 4th grade. That year, we added Katie to our group... That's when we started fighting constantly... Somehow Megan and I stayed friends. We're still pretty good friends today.

Chris
Chris has been one of my best friends since 6th grade. I don't remember exactly how we met, but I know it had something to do with the fact that he sat behind me in math class. I probably asked him for help or something. Anyhoo, he's a great friend. Except sometimes he laughs too much and it's hard for me to talk to him. :) Chris moved to Minnesota after high school, which was very difficult for me. I found it very easy to get mad at him and it seemed for a while like our friendship was going to end. I had to accept that he was growing up and making new friends. Once I did, our friendship got back on track. His visits are few and far between, so I try to make the best of every visit.

Josh
I met Josh in 6th grade also. He was in my homeroom and our lockers were near each others. We became friends because we were both slow at getting our books and leaving after school. We'd just sit by our lockers and talk about anything and everything. We've grown apart and we're sort of struggling to remain friends... But you never know.

Kim
Kim says we met in 6th grade and we were introduced by a girl named Michelle. I remember Michelle introducing us, but we didn't become friends until 7th grade. I think it was because she became friends with Chris and through hanging out with him, I became friends with Kim. I'm not very close with Kim, but when we spend time together, we have a ton of fun. We have a million and four band camp stories and we have funny shopping stories too.

Aaron
I love Aaron! He cheers me up when I'm sad, he makes me laugh, he's a good friend... I can't imagine life without Aaron. Anyway, I met Aaron in 9th grade. He was that obnoxious kid with the strangely light hair. He annoyed me and I avoided him. In 10th grade I was forced to sit next to him in Biology and we became friends. I found out he had a crush on me but I never did anything about it. He's still a close friend of mine even though we barely see each other anymore. I just wish I hadn't been a jerk to him freshmen year...

Sarah
Sarah and I met when I was in 10th grade and she was in 9th. We met because we both played trumpet in band. We sat on either side of a guy named Matt and we both loved picking on him. We have about a million inside jokes together. We spent most of our band time talking and forgetting to play. Yes, we got in trouble a lot. I ended up being her rank leader the last year of band and she was the only person in my rank that I actually liked! Sarah is one of my best friends. When I had my crushes that I didn't want to tell anyone about, I always ended up telling Sarah.

Cindy
I met Cindy at band camp my sophomore year of high school. We were in the same rank in band. At first, I wanted to strangle her because she was a freshman and had no clue how to march correctly. She got better (thankfully!). Cindy sat 1st chair in band and I was 2nd so we talked a lot. The next three years, we sat next to each other in band. She's in on a lot of the inside jokes Sarah and I have. (She's Batman...)

Lindsey
I met Lindsey when I was in 10th grade and she was in 9th. We became friendly acquaintances, but that was about it. After a problem with her telling Josh something I said about him (and blowing it out of proportion), I decided I couldn't trust her and therefore, couldn't be friends with her. We went a few years not being friends. We met up again while hanging out with Josh, Sarah, and Aaron. She has grown up quite a bit and I think I may be able to trust her now. Our friendship is new, but I have high hopes for it.

Jackie
Jackie and I met at a Kasey Kahne message board some time in 2007. We started to chat randomly on the message board and realized we had a lot in common. We started talking on AIM and became really good friends very quickly. We met in person during the evil 3-day MIS rain-out adventure of 2007. I have since been to Toledo, OH to visit her and we met up in Detroit for a Maroon 5 concert. It's tough to hang out since we live far away from each other, but we talk frequently on AIM and try to make plans to see each other when we can.

If I forgot anyone, please smack me upside the head and demand that I pay you for the emotional damage I caused you.
